Welcome to September’s edition of Your Pinner News. To those of you who’ve been away I hope you all had pleasant breaks and are ready to take on the challenges life provides. Our Pride of Pinner competition is still ongoing – we need more of your votes please people. Tell us who you think deserves the award for their sel?ess contribution to life in the village. Remember there are two categories one for under 16s and one for adults. See page 38 for an entry form or simply email me at the address below. One of several nominees we’ve had so far is Cynthia Wells from the Pinner Association. Cynthia is also the editor of The Villager magazine. She is a very worthy nominee and we’ve always seen The Villager as a publication we respect and I think we actually complement each other very well. When I launched YPN Cynthia was very helpful and I’ve not forgotten that. Also in this edition we feature a report on the stabbing of a 14-yearold boy which rocked the village last month. We also report on the parking review, comings and goings in the High Street and Marsh Road as well as columns from local people and businesses. Our columnists share their views on village life from varying perspectives including a 14 year-old boy, a working mum, an art gallery owner and now even a ?tness guru has joined our ranks. We have a stall at the Pinner Village Show on Saturday, September 14, so feel free to pop by and say hello. Until next month, take care and remember ‘it’s nice to be nice’.
