Interns leaving
Maria Didner , Financial Manager Maria has held the position as Financial Manager at SACC-Phildelphia for the past six months . Her main responsibilities during the internship have been creating reports for the Boards meetings , handeling the chamber ’ s bookkeeping , being the membership contact , conducting financial analyses to ensure a longterm financial strategy for the chamber and making budgets for all the events .
The internship position has broadened her knowledge of American business culture and improved her written and oral skills in English . She is convinced that the international experience she has gained will always be something she can benefit from in her future career . The internship has been a great complement to her studies within Business and Management .
Maria will now return to Uppsala University , to finish her master thesis while working on her company UppConsulting . It is a management consulting firm driven by students at Uppsala University . She hopes though that she will be back in the U . S . very soon .
Linn Johansson , Marketing Manager Linn has held the position as the Marketing Manager from beginning of July 2016 until beginning of January 2017 . Her time at the Chamber have been very exciting and a learning experience where she has gained more knowledge of American business culture and insightful knowledge in how to facilitate business between Sweden and the U . S .
Philadelphia is an amazing city with lots of good restaurants , and it very easy to travel to Washington DC as well as New York City which Linn has enjoyed very much . Working at SACC has also given Linn great networdking opportunities and she is leaving Philadelphia with mych broader network .
Linn is now taking her new experiences and knowledge back to Stockholm to work in the marketing field and she hopes that it will not be loong until she comes back to the US .
