FROM THE EDITORIAL BOARD
This issue of HRegatta attempts to gain insights and views
of a multitude of stakeholders in the HR domain on various
fields, especially pertaining to people analytics. This issue
focuses primarily on People analytics as over the last few
years, HR departments and businesses have become better
at collecting data about people in order to assess and
ascertain ways to ensure that the performance of employees
is enhanced, employee satisfaction rates increase and better
recruitment and selection process in lieu of the companies’
values and principles takes place. While more and more
firms have started using people analytics as a tool to
determine metric to not only ascertain and improve the
happiness quotient, but also productivity, HR roles across the
globe have started changing as data takes precedence over
subjectivity.
Recently, India slipped to 53 rd position in the Global Talent
rankings, despite the various advancements and changing
HR roles. It is necessary that proper training programs be put
in place in order to cultivate a skilled and educated talent
pool.
As companies are rapidly changing, HR roles too need to
need to ensure that they adapt quickly. In order to recover
from the disruption caused by the frequent changes and to
ensure move forward confidently, resilience and belief in the
organization, its people and their capabilities is of utmost
importance. In this era, which fosters a digitally drive and a
technology enabled environment, HR professionals must
ensure that the digital experience are aimed at enhancing the
employee performance and the individual’s experience
without impeding productivity.
