The new Nike Mercurial boot is one of Nike new top of the range boots it boasts that “it has explosive speed”. When these boots where tested we found that to be true with a very good speed of the mark as well as a very good jumping ability and a decent comfort of the boot. These results were consistent over all 3 of the field conditions tested. Although all of these positives a few of the negatives where: the weight of the boots because although they are not actually very heavy at all but the boot feels heavy whilst wearing them. The kicking was also only average with our professional only kicking 6/10 goals making the overall rating of the boots 6.5/10
The new Hypervenom boot is yet another of the new Nike high class boot range it boasts that it has “very good shooting skills”. We did the same tests as the other ones and found that what they claimed are true with a very good shooting accuracy with our professional making 9/10 goals when kicked this also ran across with all three of the field conditions. The feel of the boot is also a very good aspect of the boot with a seemingly weightless feel and very comfortable all together. The pace of the mark was also very good on the dry and synthetic field but lacked slightly on the wetter field. The only thing that lacked slightly was the jumping ability which was surprising considering how light the boots are. All and all they are a very good boot and have been rated 8.5/10.
