Overpopulation happens when there are a lot of people, but not enough space to contain them all. There are many negative side-effects such as:

Overcrowding: Too many people in such a small land can cause overcrowding leading to panic and in extremes tramplin of others in a stampede like manner.

Contamination: Diseases spread faster.

Insufficient medical workers: Too many people, not enough doctors to take care of them, especially with the contamination.

Scarce Land: There will be little land to live on because all of it will be occupied by other peoples residences, businesses and other forms of land use.

Not enough resources to be shared: Little food, small areas to live, play, work, etc. Not enough electricity, frequent blackouts.
