There is a positive relationship between the number of years and the amount of people or population. This means that as we progress farther and farther into the future, the population of Ethiopia grows positively. Also, you can observe that the 2010 population data is higher than the average population of Ethiopia if you take into account the multiple years. So, you can infer that the 2010 population growth rate is higher than it was previously on average. From this data, I can expect that the growth rate will only continue to grow from here on out unless the government of Ethiopia takes out measure to limit the birth rate as China did.

The reason for this pattern is that in Ethiopia, especially in rural areas which, by the way, account for 83% of the population, mothers tend to have many children. This is because, in part, in rural farmland, it helps to have multiple farmhands on board to lessen the workload and possibly take over the work. Other reasons are that the families are strict Orthodox Christian, so they don't believe in using contraceptives, and also sometimes they just don't have access to them anyway.
