Relationship Between Rates

Birth & Literacy

Ethiopia's data falls in line with the trend of this graph. The pattern is that the higher the literacy rate, the lower the birth rate.

Many families that have many children or any children can't afford to send them to school to get an education and instead prefer the children as workers to help generate money and provide for the family.

In other countries like Canada, families have less children as part of the culture and lack of need, and also they have more money and can afford to have their children get an education. This tells me that a major factor in the relationship between these two is culture. sometimes they just don't have access to them anyway.
