MAINTAINING YOUR AID
Any aid you receive includes certain requirements to maintain your eligibility and continue to receive the funds you have been awarded. Most awards require you to remain in good academic standing, to be enrolled in a specific number of credit hours, and / or to maintain a minimum grade point average. Awards may vary based on your housing status. Some items on your
offer letter will require action on your part after housing status. Please review the information on our Financial Aid website and in your offer letter at: https:// selfservice. stevenson. edu / Student /
Note that making changes to your schedule can have an immediate effect on your aid. Schedule changes can result in an adjustment to your aid at the time you make the change, and may require you to repay funds. Pay attention to potential aid adjustments, which may occur if:
• You audit a class
• You add or drop a class
• You withdraw from all your classes
There are also regulations limiting the use of federal funds to pay for repeating a course.
Federal awards( Pell Grant, Direct and PLUS Loans, Work-Study) are need-based and the amount awarded is determined by evaluating need when the FAFSA is processed. A FAFSA must be submitted each year, and awards may change from year to year if the financial circumstances change. For the most up to date information on filing the FAFSA, please visit the Financial Aid website.
