According to Vibe Magazine, Young Thug was arrested early Wednesday morning (July 15) following a warrant for terroristic threats. This information was gathered from Jim Joyner, spokesman for the U.S. Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force according to AJC.
Details of what exactly happened will remain unknown until after Young Thug's bond hearing at the Dekalb County Jail later today (July 15).
There has a been a thick cloud of tension building between Cash Money's CEO Birdman and Young Money CEO Lil Wayne but as of late, things seem to be getting out of hand. The feud began between Wayne and Birdman although it did not stay that way for long before Young Thug became Birdman's sidekick in the matter.
From lawsuits against Birdman to Young Thug attempt to steal the name of the next edition of Lil Wayne's most prestigious album series Tha Carter 5, we figured that things would eventually die down. We guessed wrong! Not only has it not died down but things have seemed to escalate with new allegations involving Birdman and Young Thug conspiring to have Lil Wayne killed back in April 2015.
Mike Petchenik (reporter from Atlanta WSB-TV) says that there is an indictment in relation to Lil Wayne's tour bus being attacked with gunfire back in April. The police claim that Birdman and Young Thug were involved with the conspiracy to murder Lil Wayne. The shooting was carried out by a suspect who is already in police custody, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey.
Winfrey was charged with several crimes including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity in relation with the tour bus shooting. Winfrey is a known associate of Young Thug as well as his former manager.
There is no details on if Winfrey is fully cooperating with the authorities in this investigation. Birdman and Young Thug have not been arrested for their suspected involvement in the crime.
