Congratulations, Olivia!
After working with MSCCN for two months, Olivia found employment as a teacher in Africa!
Hiring Challenge:
My husband was assigned to a post in Africa. My background is in special education. Due to the location of our post, there are not many options for this line of work for me.
Assistance Received:
After learning that we were being assigned to Africa, it was hard to accept that I might not get to work, let alone teach. I didn’t think there was any chance of me being able to teach during our time in Africa. I reached out to MSCCN in hopes of having help in finding employment during this time.
Thai was extremely friendly! She asked specifically what type of work I was interested in. She was also persistent in making contact.
It was nice to have a fellow military spouse to be encouraging during this difficult transition. It was also extremely nice to hear her excitement, after learning I landed a teaching job!
