Dress for Success Houston’s services include programs specifically for female Veterans, including their Female Veteran Service Day, during which Dress for Success Houston provides female Veterans with resume workshops, interview practice, and a suiting session that provides women with one professional outfit for interviewing.
On November 12, 2014, Stacy Bayton, Chief Operating Officer for Corporate America Supports You (CASY), visited Dress for Success Houston to lead workshops for female Veteran job seekers on targeting resumes. Bayton met with 25 female veterans interested in job placement. Additionally, throughout the day, Dress for Success Houston suited and provided job placement services to 25 female veterans.
CASY and Dress for Success Houston will continue to work together in order to improve female Veterans’ ability to find employment. CASY will help Dress for Success Houston to provide placement assistance to female veterans who come through their quarterly workshops and events. Further, CASY will coordinate training in order to offer gap skills analysis that will facilitate female Veteran job placement.
