In 2016, Boeing continued their financial support of $50,000 to combat military spouse unemployment and underemployment. They have donated over $700,000 to MSCCN over the past 11 years, and have provided expertise and support while holding a seat on the MSCCN board of directors. The return on investment has resulted in thousands of military spouse candidates finding meaningful employment.

In 2005, Boeing became the second company to fund a new non-profit helping military spouses find employment. Many thought it was a strange move because Boeing had historically hired Veterans. Some wondered why Boeing would take an interest in a program in its infancy and still in the process of building programs – for military spouses? But a quick review of Boeing’s company culture makes it easy to understand why the company has become one of the biggest supporters of that young non-profit, which has grown to be the MSCCN it is today.

Boeing is a company of amazing people working in one of the most exciting industries in the world. Yet, it is not just their business model and ingenuity that make them a leader; it is also their willingness to give back and support causes at home and abroad.

Deb Kloeppel, Founder and President, CASY & MSCCN, previously described how energizing MSCCN’s initial meeting with Boeing was: Boeing fully understood the overall gap-filling infrastructure MSCCN was building to provide one-on-one job placement of military applicants into corporate jobs. From the beginning, Boeing believed in the mission and invested money, time, talent, and resources to help achieve the company’s goals of placing military candidates in meaningful employment.

Boeing is a big part of MSCCN’s history, and part of the organization’s success is a direct result of Boeing’s strong support. The 2016 donation marks a growth of adding two new employees.
