A camp host position is available at Dog Canyon Campground. The campground is at an elevation of 5,700 feet in a remote area near the Texas / New Mexico border two hours north of the park visitor. It is most easily approached from Carlsbad, NM, on a series of gravel, dirt and paved roads. The campground has 9
tent sites and four RV sites without hookups, plus one group site. The host site has full hookups. The volunteer is expected to collect litter and help visitors register and pay the entrance fee at a self-pay station.
