Moultrie became a Georgia Main Street City in 1989.
Moultrie’ s Main Street Program and the Moultrie Convention and Visitors Bureau coordinate numerous downtown activities, such as Lights! Lights! Thanksgiving Night, the Spring Fling & Backyard BBQ Festival, the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade, Second Saturday, and promotional events.
The program also markets Moultrie’ s downtown sector to potential investors, new businesses, local residents, and visitors.
Downtown Moultrie Association Downtown Moultrie businesses help promote the downtown area through the Downtown Moultrie Association. There are about 60 members.

DDA was created to enhance the Downtown Central Business District. The DDA has the authority to buy and sell buildings for further development.

Downtown Moultrie Tomorrow is a private 501( c) 3 organization formed to raise funds to promote downtown and sponsor special community activities and enhancements. DMT has an engraved brick campaign through which persons or entities can purchase a personalized brick to be inlaid on downtown sidewalks.

Through a nationwide network of more than 10,000 volunteers serving all 50 U. S. states and territories, SCORE helps small businesses start, grow, and achieve their goals. In turn, this creates tens of thousands of new businesses and jobs annually, improving the economic health of our local communities and the nation.
SCORE is the largest all-volunteer mentoring network in the U. S. SCORE defines its success through its clients’ success, which it measures through the creation of small businesses and small business growth in revenue and employees. It helps business owners through mentoring and education.
Funded by the U. S. government as a resource partner of the U. S. Small Business Administration, SCORE mentoring is always free, and its educational services are free or low cost.
SCORE offers unbiased advice. Mentors freely give their time and talent to help business owners.

Moultrie Convention and Visitors Bureau 31 East Central Avenue
The Moultrie CVB’ s main goal is to promote tourism in Moultrie / Colquitt County. The Moultrie CVB works closely with the Main Street Program to execute community-wide special events as tourist attractions, such as the Spring Fling and Backyard BBQ Festival, Lights! Lights! Thanksgiving Night!, the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade, Second Saturday, and promotional events. The CVB also works with area hotels, the MCCPRA, and Reed Bingham State Park to provide information on the city and attractions that can be found here. n
