The Chamber serves as the primary source of information and public relations for Moultrie and Colquitt County. They build relationships with new and established businesses to promote a strong business community countywide. Also, the Chamber serves its members with informational resources along with personal and professional development opportunities. The Chamber is the voice of the business community on local, state, and national levels.

The Development Authority’ s mission is to expand the tax base of Colquitt County through public-private partnerships and job creation. The Authority is funded through a millage rate allotment of 0.289 mills, averaging approximately $ 305,000 annually. The Authority works with existing industries to support their presence and growth in the community as well as attract new industries.
A non-taxable entity, the Authority can lend and borrow money, advocate with state leadership for project and funding investment in Colquitt County, and access both state and federal grant monies for economic development. Along with industrial development, the Authority supports the attraction of retail and commercial businesses into the community by providing demographic data and statistics which enable their decision making.
The county and city can levy taxes on the Authority’ s behalf and help fund projects through allocations of special purpose local option sales taxes.
