Colquitt Regional was established in 1939 as Vereen Memorial Hospital.
Colquitt Regional is a licensed 155-bed capacity, acute care medical facility, and employs around 1,720 people, with more than 120 physicians on its medical staff.
As of January 2025, total assets were $ 320.4 million. In FY 2024, there were:
• Births- 746
• ER visits – 38,298
• Inpatient & Outpatient surgeries & procedures- 8,234
• Outpatient diagnostic visits – 189,107

Colquitt County Hospital Authority
The Colquitt Regional Medical Center is governed by the Colquitt County Hospital Authority, which is appointed by the Colquitt County Commission. There are nine members, who each serve a nine-year term.
• Members include: John Griffin, Chairman; Maureen A. Yearta, Ed. D., Secretary; Richard Bass, Treasurer; Richard E. Turner Jr., Justin Baker, MD; Howard Melton; Johnny Brown; Joe Baker; and John W. Mitchell, III.
The Hospital Authority meets every fourth Monday at noon in the Friedlander Board Room of the hospital.
