The Moultrie-Colquitt County Behavioral Health Center had its grand opening ceremony Feb. 1, 2023. The center is being operated by Georgia Pines, the state-contracted mental health provider for the region.

Georgia Pines Community Service Board serves six counties, including Colquitt, and offers community-based services for behavioral health, addictive disease and intellectual disabilities. Outpatient services are offered in Moultrie, Pelham, Bainbridge and Thomasville and begin with an assessment by a licensed clinician and development of an individualized treatment plan.
Services offered include individual and family therapy, substance abuse group therapy, community support, psychiatric assessment, nursing assessment, a medication program, case management services, intensive case management and school based programs.
Also provided through Georgia Pines are inpatient crisis treatment and residential addictive disease services.
Residential programs are offered throughout the six counties for both mental health and intellectual disabilities.
Services are offered to children, adolescents and adults, and a sliding scale fee is offered with proof of income. Medicare, Medicaid and CHAMPUS are accepted.

Turning Point is an inpatient treatment facility for substance use dependency disorders as well as acute mental health stabilization and offers a full continuum of care.
