The Colquitt County Superior Court is part of the state’ s Southern Judicial Circuit which also incudes Brooks, Echols, Lowndes and Thomas counties. The Superior Court has authority to exercise original, exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction, as the case may be, in civil and criminal cases as granted by the Constitution and laws, and it exercises appellate jurisdiction over lower courts.
Court is held quarterly with two weeks of civil cases and two weeks of criminal trials. Extra court weeks are held when cases are left over from the regular session.

Accountability Court
Colquitt County’ s Accountability Court is designed to give defendants with mental health or substance abuse diagnosis a rigid system to get out of the mainstream justice system and get help for the medical issues that contributed to their breaking the law.
