Saturday, June 14 Converse Park and Motley Fair Grounds

Motley June Fest, fun for the whole family

This year’ s June Fest in Motley is planned for Saturday, June 14, and it promises fun for the whole family throughout the day and right on into the evening. The day’ s first events fire up at 8 a. m., with the four-mile and one-mile walk / run at Converse Park. The fun won’ t stop until the music by Shirts & Skins ends late into the evening.
There will be activities for the kids, mainly at Converse Park, until about 2 p. m. Those will include face painting, crazy hair, bounce houses, a pedal pull, build your own wood project and free root beer floats. The annual Average Joe’ s Car Show will also be at Converse park from 10 a. m.- 2:30 p. m. The parade will begin at 11 a. m., starting at the water tower.
About noon, the beer and food garden will open at the fairgrounds in Motley. Back this year is a mud volleyball tournament, as well as other favorites like bean bags, bounce houses, games, bingo, music and a lumberjack show.
Music by Shirts & Skins begins at 7 p. m. at the fairgrounds and a fireworks display begins at dusk.
All are invited to make a day of it at Motley’ s June Fest.
