affirmations
We’re onto a new year! It’s exciting
to have just passed a milestone
and even more so knowing there’s
some really good stuff coming up
ahead. Sitting and thinking over the
cold winter days kept bringing me
back to one of my earliest topics –
Affirmations.
Yes, we talked about them and now
it’s time to revisit the subject and
start putting them into practice.
That’s right, this year is going to
be focused on Integration – taking
what you know – even if it’s only
a little bit about a little bit of
something – and learning how to
use it.
You’ve probably heard the term,
you are what you eat… Similarly,
you are what you believe.
Affirmations are a form of belief
shifting that you don’t even have to
pay for.
to be. Better still, they don’t
cost anything because you come
equipped with everything you
need – a brain that thinks and can
come up with unlimited words and
ideals, something to write with,
so you don’t lose the results of all
your hard work, and the freedom
to create the new future you truly
want.
And just like we are constantly
reminded to exercise to keep our
bodies fit and flexible, it is just
important to use Affirmations to
keep our minds quick, nimble and
confident.
As humans, we are basically
conditioned to seek out help…
and the more visual the help, the
better. We don’t do well with
abstract concepts, preferring
simple outlines and messages.
They’re like little written
commercials whose purpose is to
capture and retain our attention.
When you believe in something
strongly, more energy is ultimately
devoted to it.
When I first started my own
journey, I put out a psychic SOS,
as I had no real familiarity with
how to kick-start the process.
That’s when I was introduced to
affirmations. Early on, I had to rely
on ones that I found online, phrases
passed along by friends and others.
You may modify an Affirmation,
but you never outgrow them.
They are infinitely useful and are
as long-lived as you want them
Gradually, as I got comfortable with
what affirmations represented, it
became easier and easier to use
them and modify them.
