Relax the side that is not doing the pushing or pulling, to the best of your ability, as you pull or push with the other arm. If you need a little boost, you can also use the “relaxed side” for the minimum amount of assistance. Leave all the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading.
