that the two youngsters opinions presented in this number , have been selected for explaining exactly this idea stated thousands of years ago by Plato .
Each genius is characterized by an incredible capacity to invent and by an overwhelming enthusiasm . They live at heights that most humans cannot even begin to imagine . Yet these are heights that are reachable by most people with the right tools , perseverance and under the careful guidance of an adequately trained mentor . Denis Diderot , in fact said “ Genius is present in every age , but the men carrying it within them remain benumbed unless extraordinary events occur to heat up and melt the mass so that it flows forth ”
This is one of the focuses of the Integral Pedagogy course in ISA – a chance for all educators to uncover these qualities first in themselves and then learn to spot them and support them to flourish in new generations of children . Without the uncovering of these traits , the educators are merely reproducing the same existing separated knowledge and albeit this works , it does have a horizontal line when it comes to the actual utilization of the full innate potential of the pupil . If you always do the same thing you are very likely to have the same results or a very minor variation of results . The perspective , joy , happiness and
fulfillment experienced by any human being when they start to awaken and fully use not only one or two of their talents but may be 20 or 50 is immense . The implications for the humanity when a group of such students start to live their lives in view of all potentialities awakened can only be imagined . One way to describe bewilderment is by the experience of bliss , pure joy , when the known duality of subject and object is replaced by a unified state where the act of learning , the teacher , the student and the subject to be studied reach a field of unity and the prospect for all to access direct knowledge can be facilitated and nourished .
