1.0 Executive Summary
GroupMap is an online real time idea sharing group meeting tool in Western
Australia. Being used as teaching material at first, now it serves a group meeting tool to
everyone in the world. This report is commissioned to examine GroupMap’s innovation
in their business strategic method in most aspect. First, we will examine on how
GroupMap establish an environment for its innovation. There are three categories on this
section. Firstly, we will discuss on the intellectual property (IP) that GroupMap has used.
Secondly, we will examined on how GroupMap manages its organizational knowledge
and innovation strategies. Thirdly, we will also research on the collaboration strategies
that GroupMap has used. After examine these three sections, we will be looking on how
GroupMap implementing innovation. GroupMap is a company which use IT knowledge
to start the product. We will be observe on how it manages its innovation and how they
develop new products.
