Getting active doesn’t just help us
physically. Whether it’s a 10-minute
walk or an hour on the tennis court,
our mental wellbeing can benefit
from exercise too.
Tips to get you moving:
Start small. It doesn’t need to be
anything strenuous; try short walks
or a gentle swim in your local pool.
Be kind to yourself. Recognise that
you’re making a positive change. Keep
a diary of your achievements.
Everyday things like hoovering or
gardening all count as exercise and can
make you feel better.
Little wins feel great! If your bus is
10 minutes away, why not walk to the
next stop?
Reward yourself for doing well.
