Q What’s the difference
between social anxiety
and social phobia?
A
Social phobia and social
anxiety actually mean the same
thing. If you have social phobia,
you might feel a sense of intense
fear in social situations and will
often try to avoid them.
It can be extremely debilitating,
making it difficult to engage
in everyday activities such as
meeting new people, talking
in groups or starting new
conversations.
You might worry about these
situations because you fear that
others will judge you negatively,
or be offended by something you
say or do.
