Q. Can a fruit smoothie affect your fat loss goals???
A. Yes!! Although fruit contains vitamins and minerals which are
good for the body, when blended up as a drink the fruit releases
sugars giving the drink an incredibly high GI. The amount of sugar the
drink contains will be more than needed for most activities, so will be
stored as fat!
Alternative ….. Try mixing in some complex carbohydrates or even
some greens, spinach or sweetcorn as they contain good sources of
fibre which can help slow down the digestion process.
