3. Condition under study
Patients suffering from refractory migraine as per the Schulman’s
Criteria
History of illness not less than 12 months
Pain intensity of 6 and above on 10 points VAS (Visual Analogue Scale)
Score during the attacks
Frequency of at least four attacks or more per month
MIDAS (Migraine Induced Disability Assessment Scale) score of 11 and
above
4. Compliance
The patient must understand and be able, willing and likely to fully
comply with study procedure and restriction.
Patient willing for regular follow ups.
5. Informed Consent
The patient willing to give written informed consent.
6.2) Exclusion Criteria
1. Conditions other than study
Patients having migraine with aura, sinusitis induced headache, patients with
refractory
headache,
post
traumatic
headache,
medication
over use
headache, intracranial hypertension/hypotension and neuralgias and patient
with pseudo refractory migraines.
2. Concurrent Diseases
Patient with chronic uncontrolled illness, specially diabetes (random blood
sugar
>
200mg/dl),
severe
anemia
(Hb 140mmHg & DBP> 90mm Hg) etc, that require
medical therapy.
