HOVHANNISYAN TARON (YSU) TURKEY'S CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF LIMITATION OF ARMY’S ROLE IN POLITICAL PROCESSES (2010-2016) The article discusses the constitutional amendments in Turkey in the context of limitation of Turkey’s armed forces’ role in the civic life implemented by Justice and Development Party (AKP) during its second stage of power. In this period some of the privileges of Turkey’s army have already been eliminated, but the military forces were still sacred. The main purpose of the work is to present the methods and measures that were used by the Government to put army under control of civil power, and outcomes of it. This article clarifies that if the amendments made by AKP until 2010 were related to the limitation of army’s influence in the civil power, after 2010 with the constitutional amendment Turkey’s authorities aim to decrease “self-satisfaction” and reshape ideological basis in the army by discreditation. 110
