Michigan Jaycees,
It is truly an honor to congratulate you on celebrating 90 years of building leaders through active citizenship.
The success of the United States Junior Chamber is largely dependent on having strong, dedicated state
organizations, such as the Michigan Jaycees. By continuously providing development opportunities to the members,
you have empowered young people to create positive change. Year in and year out, the Michigan Jaycees are the
example that the rest of the country strives to emulate. And for that, you should be extremely proud; however, you
can’t stop there.
As Junior Chamber members, we must continue seeking ways to live out the values of the Creed. We need to think
critically about society’s greatest challenges and act on behalf of our communities to be part of the solution. By seeking
out better solutions to build better communities, we will create a better future. That’s exactly what Martin P. Luthy set
out to do in 1924, and what members of the Michigan Jaycees continue to do today.
As a proud member of the Michigan Jaycees, it is an enormous privilege for me to pass on well wishes from the
National Organization in recognition of 90 great years. The hundreds of thousands of members that have been
involved with the Michigan Jaycees over the last nine decades are the reason for your success and legacy. On behalf
of the United States Junior Chamber, we look forward to many more years of leadership and accomplishments from
the Michigan Jaycees. As you embark on your next 90 years, remember to Dream Big!
