Taking steps to support underserved women
20th Class of M. D. students arrives
The Daytona Regional Campus participated in the Baby Steps Clinic Gestational Diabetes Education Project, supervised by Pamela Carbiener, M. D. This project, funded through the Chapman Community Health Program, supports monthly bilingual education sessions on gestational diabetes for uninsured and underserved women in Volusia and Flagler counties.

Fifteen students from the M. D. Class of 2028 arrived in May, the 20th cohort of medical students to study here. Since its opening in 2007, the campus has trained M. D. students during their final two years; PA students were added for their final year in January 2019.
PA students present on Quality Improvement
On June 24, The PA Class of 2026 presented its summer research project findings focused on Quality Improvement in healthcare and medicine.
