Knot your average workshop!
On June 10, M. D. students in the Class of 2028 learned practice and precision at the annual Cut and Tie Workshop. They learned how to suture, preparing the students for the clerkships in Surgery and OB / GYN. During the workshop, students also learned how to do incision and drainage procedures and different types of biopsies.

Driggers relocates to practice rural medicine

Wes Driggers, M. D., clerkship director for Family Medicine at Daytona Beach Regional Campus, has relocated to Madison County, where he will practice rural medicine. The regional campus held a farewell party for Driggers and welcomed Daytona Beach alumna Tara Gonzalez, M. D. as the new clerkship director. Driggers will continue to serve as a Summer Clinical Practicum preceptor.
