What education opportunities have you had ?
I completed my Diploma for the Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners ( MFGDP ( UK )) through the RAF and completed a 3 year parttime post-graduate MSc at the University of Glamorgan in Wales whilst working as Senior Dental Officer in Northern Ireland and RAF Cottesmore , using Enhanced Learning Credits .
What type of training did you have to do ( specialist ?)?
MSc in Forensic Odontology , Military Essential Training in Disaster Victim Identification , Dental ID Team Induction and Annual Refresher Training , become a member of the British Association for Forensic Odontologists ( BAFO ) and I am now on the committee to keep the Defence team up-to-date with Forensic Odontology and new developments .
My first boss in the RAF completed Consultancy training in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and is now one of Defence Primary Healthcare ’ s specialists for implants and complex restorative treatment .
