2025 La Crosse Loggers Baseball There’ s No Place Like Copeland

Returning to Copeland Park for his fourth summer as a Logger, Lapic also grew up in La Crosse, where he went to La Crosse Central High School. At Central, he was a Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association all-state selection and South West Division 1 Player of the Year as a senior. Helped lead LCCHS to a Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I regional championship in 2021, tossing a four-hit shutout while driving in all four runs at the plate against Sauk Prairie in the regional title game. Went 6-4 with a 2.63 ERA and nearly a 3:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio( 64 strikeouts, 22 walks) during his senior campaign. Was selected to participate in the 37th annual Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic in 2021, representing the West squad. Played his freshman season for head coach Zac Charbonneau at Milwaukee Area Technical College, sported a 3-1 record with a 3.33 ERA over 12 appearances, including team-highs in games started( 10), innings pitched( 46.0) and strikeouts( 54). Allowed only 39 hits, not conceding a single home run while holding the opposition to a measly. 201 batting average. Son of Brad and Jess. He has one brother, Dawson. Lapic is majoring in Sports Management.
Bobby McDonough
Pitcher | Massachusetts | Arlington, VA
In his first year at UMASS. Redshirted as a sophomore at William and Mary. In his freshman year McDonough pitched in 10 games, all out of the bullpen. Tossed 13.0 innings and struck out nine. Made collegiate debut allowing zero runs against Marist. Named to the CAA Commissioner’ s Academic Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters. Played two years varsity at Bishop O’ Connell. As a senior, posted a 1.50 ERA and recorded a. 330 batting average. Named as a WCAC All-Conference Utility Player his senior season. Was also a highly rated wrestler at Bishop O’ Connell.

Xander McLaurin
Outfielder | Cal Poly | Long Beach, CA
Played two seasons for the Long Beach Community College Vikings. Hit. 366 as a sophomore in 2024 with seven doubles, two triples, eight home runs and 35 RBIs. McLaurin also stole 13 bases in 14 attempts and helped LBCC to 30-15 overall record and a 16-8 mark for second place in the South Coast Conference. Earned first-team All-South Coast Conference honors. McLaurin hit. 266 in 33 games as a freshman with one double, one home run and 12 RBIs as Vikings posted a 20-22 record for 2023. A 2022 graduate of Wilson High School in Long Beach where he hit. 305 in senior season with two doubles, a home run and seven RBIs over 30 games. He also played football at Wilson as quarterback. Son of Charles McLaurin and Mary Gerhard. Father played basketball for Northern Illinois and University of Chicago – Illinois. McLaurin is majoring in business administration.
