Zoo Animal Adoption

This year saw 3K Science ( Ms Roche ) adopt two animals in Dublin Zoo . As the zoo was closed to visitors , funds were running low to feed the animals and 3K stepped up and raised money within the class to adopt a Humboldt Penguin and a Red Panda . We received two adult passes and some merchandise from Dublin Zoo for our efforts which we raffled off within the class last Friday . Well done to Liana nic Fhloinn and Meadhbh ní Ghabóid on the organisation and planning of the activity

First Year Science Students finally get to complete some hands-on experiments !

A big well done goes to Ms Roche ’ s first year science class for completing their first experiments after we returned to school after the Easter break . They have had a very difficult year from a virtual teacher to lockdown classes , so we were delighted to get some Lab time on our return after the Easter break – in fact they didn ’ t want to leave and go home . They are a great group of students who have kept focused and enthusiastic throughout the year and we were delighted to report no fires or explosions – yet .
