The 22 nd of February was a landmark date for MEC as we welcomed our students attending special classes . The brand new MPP ASD welcomed 2 classes of six students and MCC welcomed back their moderate class . It was great to see such smiley , happy faces once again and welcome a variety of staff back on site for in person learning .

A week later on March 1 st , our bustling sixth years arrived and embarked on the last chapter of their MEC journey with us . We would like to acknowledge our 6 th year cohort ’ s maturity and flexibility since their arrival back and they will be missed . Our classrooms are now filled with dedicated students sitting their end of year examinations . Our students have dealt with the curveballs of 2021 very well thus far and we wish them the very best in their exams this week and to those sitting their Leaving Certificate examinations .

Today was a bright summer day and our large school windows showcase spectacular views overlooking the rolling countryside and local green pitches . With the windows thrown open and the bright sun streaming in , we feel enormously lucky to have such magnificent new facilities at Moyglare . A sense of gratitude and growing optimism about the bright future for our school community is tangible this week as we draw to a close . We wish all our community a lovely , safe summer break and we look forward to seeing you all in August .
