Welcomes Back Students to New Build

It has been quite a positive and successful reopening for Maynooth Education Campus . The bright , modern buildings have certainly provided a fresh reset for our students and staff alike , to provide a welcome change of scene for many this term . It ' s truly been a long journey for our young people who have really looked forward to this day since their 1 st year enrolment . Testament to their energy and enthusiasm , there has been an upbeat atmosphere in school over the past few months with lots of positive feedback from visitors to the campus so far .

5 th Year Amy Day remarked , ‘ it feels like a fresh start and a relief to be in the new school building , especially in this chaotic year ’. This was echoed by 6 th year Jack Crawley who reflectively mused , ‘ I feel quite sombre about finishing my 6 th year journey in a new building which I ’ ll only get to enjoy for two and half months . But on the other hand , we finally made it up here to the fantastic new school and the state-of-the-art building is unquestionably amazing ’.
Indeed , a tremendous amount of work has gone on behind the scenes . It ' s been no mean feat to haul the material contents of two large schools up in the road in a level 5 lockdown and beyond . Our generous and dedicated skeleton crew of staff had been on hand since the 4 th of January to kit out the school buildings and assist with set up .
In the belting January rain , hundreds of chairs , desks and boxes were lugged into the new build . February was spent

delicately laying tables and chairs out to maintain the metre distance rule and coating the school with yellow Covid one-way system stickers . A tedious but paramount task and we thank all those involved for your patience and dedication !
