MEC Junior Book Club Update

The Junior Book Club is a reading group in the school,
comprised of 1st to 3rd years. At present, we are a small but
dedicated group of readers who, along with Ms Hadnett and
Ms Blythe, meet monthly to discuss the title we have read and
enjoy biscuits in the process!
As a group, we have covered many interesting books this
year, including ‘The Maze Runner’ by James Dashner, ‘Skellig’
by David Almond and, most recently, ‘The Surface Breaks’ by
Louise O’ Neill. All of these were great titles that I would not
have read had it not been for the book club.
We are met again on 10th March to discuss ‘Apple and Rain’
by Sarah Crossan. I really enjoy book club as it is a great way
to meet fellow readers and converse about books in a fun and
simulating environment.
