This workshop offers an organic and tactile learning
experience which leads you along a creative journey.
You will explore so many opportunities offered when
ideas are developed as drawings (pencil and charcoal)
which are then transposed onto canvas and painted in
acrylics. Interpreting photo reference combined with
powerful mark making and then painting in acrylics
creates visually interesting and exciting images.
Immerse yourself in creating as Don shows you how to
get so much more from these exciting and expressive
mediums.
The workshop will cover
interpreting photos, dynamic
mark making, composition,
acrylic paints and mediums,
colour mixing and much more.
Don has a real passion for his
painting and has celebrated success
with many exhibitions over the past
40 years. He is an enthusiastic and
energetic painter and is renowned
for his generous and creative art
workshops where his many years of experience encourage
and inspire his students. Don’s work is in a constant state of
flux with his private works and commissions having roots in
the traditional, but more recently, his work is being flavoured
with a generous amount of Impressionism.
