Porcelain is a wonderful material to show off colour
and translucency. Join John Tuckwell on a journey
to understanding the use of porcelain slip and
colour. John will use coloured slip slabs to construct
vessels and sculptures and this workshop is ideal
for people who want to develop their hand building
skills. Participants will learn the technical background
to using liquid clay and working with plaster slabs
and will use their new skills to make their new art
constructions.
John Tuckwell has been
a Ceramic Artist for more
than 25 years. He studied at
ANU in Canberra and has a
successful practice that sees
him exhibit in Australia and
overseas. He has had more
than 60 group and solo exhibitions. Over the years his work
has evolved to specialise in porcelain slip constructions. John
shares his personal studio time with presenting workshops
across Australia.
