Originally in Boxing Day servants received gifts from their masters and they also had a day off . However , today Boxing Day is primarily known as a shopping holiday .
“ Canada day ” is the celebration of the anniversary of Canadian confederation , occurred on 1st July of 1867 . Basically , it is what the 4th of July is for the US , and the 5th of May is for Mexico , as it celebrates the Canada independence
It is really interesting to see how each country has their own traditions and celebrations .
