This type of servanthood is why Jim believes the only confidence a human must have should be solely centered on God.
Humility is a core principle of Passion for Truth (PFT) which has differentiated itself from other ministries in the Messianic movement by focusing on finding the right balance between the Spirit of God and the Truth of His Word. Staley believes this combination has attracted people internationally that have reached the pinnacle of hunger for something deeper and more tangible that will actually make a positive impact on their life.
“I think over the last 50 years of the Messianic movement, the movement towards truth has been very strong. I’m really into the Spirit, and to me the Spirit is just as important as the Truth. They cannot be separated. If you separate the Truth from the Ruach from which it came, it really is not truth but information.”
Jim believes when the Spirit and Truth of God are at the core of life that is when husbands and wives can work through differences and raise children in the way they should go. He said PFT is touching both hearts and minds with this approach, and that this is why the ministry has grown so quickly.
“Teachers are fantastic, but people need to be loved and shown how to appropriately walk life out in Spirit and Truth.”
For those feeling God’s pulling to go back to the foundations of God’s Truth, Jim said the first and only step is to begin by asking the question of what is God’s Truth to begin with. That he says will not occur unless people are already in a place of humility.
