Computer: Jake Flodquist
Absent. Brandon Taylor has agreed to work with Jake on the Computers committee, helping with workload and technical support.
Drills and Squares: Marlys Mooney Nothing to report.
Futurity: Kim Ziegler
Absent. The committee is looking forward to offering 2 yr old halter and longeline at this year’ s champ show. Rose Garlands will again be offered as awards.
Historian: Tim Wampfler Nothing to report.
Judges: Lynn-Ellen St. Martin
Due to a scheduling conflict, there has been a change in clinicians for the upcoming judge’ s seminar. Rebecca Halvorson, a multi-carded judge, will be the clinician. The committee is beginning to work on the judge’ s schedule for champ show.
Marketing & Promotions: Rachel Duenow
Absent. James reported the March spotlight has been sent out which includes the 2026 Champ Show showbill and sponsorship forms. All help is needed in obtaining sponsorships for champ show. The committee is beginning to look into best practices and future options of how WSCA can distribute information to its members.
Nominating: Ann Goebel
Absent. Courtney Betsch reporting. Board member positions expiring at the end of 2026 are Julie Gintner( who has termed out), James Duenow, Karson Duncanson, and Paul Hansen. The committee is hoping to get a promotion together for the Spotlight, to draw interest in serving as a board member. Anyone interested should contact Ann Goebel or committee members, Hannah Hartman, Courtney Betsch, Dustin Heck or Julia Nortwick.
Procedures: Sara Schwartz
The board approved a proposed revision to the Procedures Committee procedure, which is a request to add the option to supply complete set of procedures to Board members and officers electronically.
Publicity: Lori Taylor
Royalty Alumni in attendance were acknowledged by Lori Taylor. The 2025-2026 Royalty introduced themselves and presented on passed events they’ ve attended which recently included several banquets, Arena Trailer Sales event and Northland horse fair. Upcoming events include the MN Horse Expo and Royalty Fundraiser horse show.
Royalty: Bridget Behrns
Bridget presented the 2026 Royalty Contest awards, which will be advertised online as well as in the spotlight. The 2026 Royalty Clinic will be April 12 th, in Otsego, MN. The Royalty Clinic is an excellent opportunity for all WSCA club queens or other members interested in the Royalty contest or looking for a great way to meet other active women in WSCA.
