ARBOR DAY CELEBRATIONS
THE ORCHARDS RESIDENTS CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY THROUGHOUT THE CAMPUS “ The best friend on earth of man is the tree . When we use the tree respectfully and economically , we have one of the greatest resources on earth . I am myself and what is around me , and if I do not save it , it shall not save me . He who plants a tree plants a hope .”
-Arborday. org Our residents had a splendid time with all of the activities that coincided with Arbor Day on April 30th ! These included crafts , fun facts and learning , and some nutty snacks to try . There were even silly jokes : What kind of tree can you fit in your hand ? A Palm tree ! Why was the cat afraid of the tree ? Because of its bark !
