ARBOR DAY CRAFTS

LENDING A HELPING HAND A helping hand was just what our residents needed to create their beautiful Arbor Day projects . Once their hands were traced for the trunk and branches , their tree was assembled against a blue sky with beautiful green leaves !
Did you know ... -Office workers with a view of trees report significantly less stress and more satisfaction .
-One large tree can provide a day ’ s supply of oxygen for up to four people .
-More than 20 % of the world ’ s oxygen is produced in the Amazon Rainforest .
-In one year , an acre of mature trees absorbs the amount of CO2 produced by a car driven 26,000 miles .
Janis Kell brought plants and information for the Arbor Day celebration at the Peachtree Inn . The residents learned about plants found locally and were able to see , smell and touch them .
Edible acorns made for a really neat snack to munch on at the end of the program .
Thank you , Janis , for our amazing learning experience !
WELCOME NEW RESIDENTS Please welcome our new residents when you see them across campus !
