Storytelling Saturday returns in May
April ’ s Community Club event brought Charbonneau crafters together on a sunny Saturday to chat , snack and craft in the Wilson

Room . Collage , mosaic work and gnome ornament-making were all on the table — literally .
Spring fling bingo was our Social Sunday event in April . Flowers were added to the prize mix , we had our spring song sing-along , the vintage popcorn maker was fired up and we celebrated the longer days and promise of a warmer season as raffle and bingo prizes were won .
Community Club — Storytelling Saturday !
Saturday , May 11 from 2:30-5 p . m . in Hazelglade Lounge of the Activity Center . After the May event , Community Club will be on hiatus until fall .
Bring a dish or a bottle to share with neighbors and get ready to hear the incredible histories and stories of our community members . Our January stories did not disappoint ! This is a casual event , around a table . Some people come with specific stories to share and sometimes we go around with a theme . Car stories was a fun one . Come prepared , wing it , or just listen . Possible themes : your greatest adventure , your scariest
moment , memorable school or camp stories ( we can go around on that one ), or maybe an experience that changed your outlook on life .
Social Sundays are on hiatus May through August
Social Sundays are on hold from May through August due to other previously scheduled events and heavier building / room usage for the summer months . Look for them to begin again in fall .
Reminder : The card room is available to reserve based on availability . This fun and inviting space is fitted with a comfortable lounge area , games , art supplies , a chess set and a piano . Please remember to put things back the way you found them . The game lounge next to the card room is always available to play games such as pool , shuffleboard , ping pong or darts . As a reminder children under 14 must always be accompanied by an adult when using the lounge . If you would like to reserve the card room please email , Brooke @ charbonneaucountryclub . com .

The next Practicing Presence workshop will be 9 a . m . to 12:30 p . m . July 20 in the Clark Room of the Activity Center . This is a free foundational workshop put on by The Charbonneau Meditation Society that will teach you the basic foundations of meditation and mindfulness practice , as well as somatic practices for ease and well-being . After attending this workshop , participants are welcome to join CMS weekly gatherings every Tuesday , 5-6 p . m . on a drop-in weekly basis to continue learning and practicing in community .
