JANICE A. DYER
LANCASTER–Janice
A.
Dyer, 74, of Ice Pond Village,
died Wednesday evening May 4,
2016 at Dartmouth Hitchcock
Medical Center after a period of
declining health.
Janice was born in Lancaster
on June 24, 1941 the daughter of
Philip and Annie (McHarg) Cantin. She has been a lifetime resident of Lancaster and was a 1960
graduate of Lancaster Academy.
She was also a graduate of
Houle’s Beauty Academy in Manchester. On January 28, 1967 she
married Earl Dyer.
For many years she operated
Jan’s Beauty Shop in Lancaster.
She also worked several years at
Weeks Medical Center in housekeeping and later did patient
sitting.
Jan was an active member
and volunteer in her community.
She was a member of Colonel
Town Players, Weeks Hospital
Auxiliary, the VFW Women’s
Auxiliary and was a Weeks Hospital Volunteer.
Surviving family members
include her daughter Bobbiejo
Dyer and boyfriend Bruce
Bruleigh of Topsham, Vt.; grandchildren Brandon Dyer and
Cheyenne Dyer both of Topsham;
sisters, Carol White of Lancaster, Faye Ellis of St. Johsnbury,
Lucielle
Cantin
of
Newmarket, Anita Matott and
husband Jim of Lancaster; brothers, Kenneth Cantin and wife
Dawn of Lunenburg, Thomas
Cantin of Lunenburg, Timothy
Cantin of Jonesville, N.C.; uncles
Harland Cantin of Guildhall, Vt.,
Leonard Cantin and wife Virginia of East Haven, Vt.; one
aunt, Irene Cantin of Lancaster;
several nieces, nephews, and
great nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her parents,
two infant brothers; brother-inlaws Keith Ellis, Donald White;
several aunts, uncles, cousins
and her close friend Arthur Cassady.
Visiting hours will be held
Monday evening, May 9, from 6-8
p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home
in Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at
All Saints Church in Lancaster.
Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor, will officiate. Burial will
follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.

Nellie A. Henson
NELLIE A. HENSON
COLEBROOK–Nellie A. Henson, 88, passed away Thursday,
May 5, 2016, at the Coös County
Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown, after a period of declining health.
She was born in East Colebrook on Dec. 27, 1927, the
youngest daughter of the late
Leroy and Mariette (Hodge) Henson. Nellie was a 1945 graduate
of Colebrook Academy.
Her life’s occupation was as a
physical therapist, and she did
much good for many people. She
served with honor in the U.S.
Army from 1951-56, during the
Korean conflict, attaining the
rank of captain. Nellie was a
member of many different state
physical therapy associations
and the American Physical Therapy Association. She enjoyed
organic gardening, was an avid
reader, and enjoyed missionary
work for her church. She volunteered at UCVH, Dartmouth-Hitchock, and the local food pantry.
Her faith was very important to
her and she was a member of the
River of Life Worship Center in
Colebrook. Nellie will be remembered as a very generous soul,
always giving of her time and
doing something for someone
other than herself.
She is survived by her sisterin-law, Lois Henson of North
Haverhill, as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by
her nine siblings, Evelyn Lewis,
Willard Henson, Mildred Stewart, Rena Thompson, Pearl
Gooley, Richard Henson, Edith
Henson, Howard Henson, and
Everett Henson.
There are no public calling
hours. A graveside interment
service, with military honors,
will be held on Friday, June 10,
2016, at 10 a.m. in the Colebrook
Village Cemetery.

STRATFORD–Corinne Nancy
(Bennett) Blodgett, 72, of Spur
Rd, North Stratford, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016
at the Catholic Medical Center
in Manchester, after a brief illness with her family by her side.
Corinne was born in Bloomfield, Vt. on July 27, 1943 a
daughter of the late Brewster F.
and Helen (Fuller) Bennett and
