We found them hard at work making wooden flower boxes for their mothers on Mothers Day. The children were busy hammering in nails and decorating the boxes with colorful designs. Proceeds from these barn sales go towards expenses to keep open the Moffett House Museum and Genealogy Center and to help preserve the barns. The museum, located at 119 High Street in Berlin is open year round, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment. Call 752-4590 for an appointment or to arrange for a group to tour the museum or the barns. Admission is free. Donations are graciously accepted. The Barr Brothers will kick off the 2016 “LIVE! FREE COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT The North Country Community Band will present a free concert on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 in the evening at the Rialto Theater in Lancaster, New Hampshire. The band, under the direction of Andrew Tobin, will feature “Music Around the World” performing songs from the United States, Ireland, England, Spain, Austria, Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, Argentina and Mexico. JEFFERSON CHURCH KIDS NIGHT Jefferson Christian Church, located at 701 Presidential Highway in Jefferson, is hosting a Kids Night on Friday, May 20 from 6-8 p.m. Pizza, popcorn, and punch will be served and a full length movie (rated G) will be shown. Families are welcome. There is no charge.
