Explore the fascinating world of percussion
instruments! Even our bodies are musical
instruments, so anyone can play by clapping,
shaking, and stomping. But watch out, with
Bruno and Marton, you have to keep the beat.
Great Rhythmobile Adventure

(Grades: K* - 6) 55 mins
The Rhythmobile - a super-powered, all-
terrain, hybrid vehicle - has unfortunately
run out of gas. Captain Kit Crash, the
Rhythmobile’s clumsy driver and his
tinkering mechanic, Whiplash, need the right
kind of high rated fuel: rhythm.
* Performances for Kindergarten are 40 minutes.

Workshops
(Grades: 1 - 6) 55 mins Marton is looking for a
new rhythm for a musical number that has to
be ready for that same night and Bruno
wants to play in a big parade but has no
idea what instruments to bring. The two
friends will explore all sorts of percussion:
the cajón, guiro, claves, surdo, bodhran,
djembe and all sorts of countries and regions
around the world: Peru, Spain, Cuba, Ireland,
the Caribbean, the United States, Africa and
Canada. But will Marton and Bruno manage
to find the right rhythm by the end of this
highly colourful day?

Body Beat Through the sheer pleasure of
movement, children will discover the rich
world of body percussion and the various
associated musical styles. Their introduction
to flamenco, Irish dancing, beat boxing, and
gumboot will be filled with energy and fun!
