On 27 February, our Pathways Event for S4 – S6 took place during periods 2- 4. A wide range of employers and apprenticeship providers joined us to share insights into their industries. Pupils took part in a hands-on activity to explore possible career routes. Thank you to Miss Muir for coordinating this valuable opportunity to our young people!

Higher Admin Students Take the Lead in Hands-On Excel Teaching Challenge
Written by Miss Wyllie
Higher Admin students took on the role of teacher for the day. Working in small teams, students were tasked with creating and delivering mini-lessons on the key Excel skills they will be assessed on later in the course. Each group prepared a structured teaching session that included a live demonstration, supporting help videos, and an exit pass or quiz to check their classmates’ understanding.
Students not only had to master the technical content themselves but also think carefully about how to explain processes clearly and confidently to others.
By taking ownership of the teaching process, students gained a deeper understanding of the software while developing valuable presentation and teamwork skills. Well done!
The challenge marks another creative step by the Business Education faculty to ensure pupils are fully prepared for their

upcoming assessments— and ready to apply their digital skills beyond the classroom.
