It’ s that time of year where our S1 students will be competing in teams to take part in our " Snack Attack Challenge "! This competition is designed to inspire creativity and entrepreneurial spirit among our young learners. Students are tasked with creating a unique and tasty snack that not only appeals to the taste buds but also considers the use of FairTrade ingredients, cost, packaging and branding. Teams have to create a business pitch and promotional materials for their snack that they will present to the class after Easter!
S1 Snack Attack Challenge
The winners, selected from each class, will have the opportunity of working with the Home Economics department to refine their recipe and the whole class will bake the winning snack!
We are excited to see their snack ideas become a reality! We look forward to tasting the innovative snacks on offer and wish all participants the best of luck in their delicious endeavors.
Music Shout Outs!
Written by Ms McCallum
Last month our pupils performed brilliantly at the South Ayrshire Music Service concerts. A massive well done to all involved, and sincere thanks to our music instructors who guide our young people from aspiring performers to confident musicians.
Congratulations
to Grace Livingstone in
S6 on being selected to
travel to Westminster to
perform
with
the
Ayrshire
Fiddle
Orchestra.
The group played at the Burns Supper at London Scottish House, toured Parliament and sat in on PM’ s Questions, then finished with a lunchtime concert at the Department of Energy in Whitehall, hosted by the Minister for Energy( and Ayrshire man) Michael Shanks MP. Very well done to this hugely talented group of performers.
